By using the Klikta mobile application and related services (the “Service”), you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy.
1. Who We Are

2. Information We Collect
We collect information in limited and specific situations in order to operate, secure, and improve Klikta.
• Information you provide
• Contact details – such as your email address when you communicate with us.
• Photographs and captions – images you choose to submit, including available metadata (for example date, time, device model, and GPS information if present).
• Optional location data – coordinates you manually provide when image metadata does not contain them.
Authentication information
If you choose to sign in using Apple, Google, or Facebook, we receive basic information necessary to authenticate you. This may include a unique identifier provided by the service, your email address, display name, and profile image, depending on the permissions you grant.
We do not receive your passwords and do not gain access to your accounts with those providers. You can manage what information is shared with Klikta through your provider’s settings.
Usage & diagnostics (optional)
If you enable analytics, we may receive anonymized or aggregated data such as screen views, interactions, session duration, device model, operating system version, and city-level location.
If analytics are disabled, we collect only essential crash information without identifiers.
What we do not collect
Klikta does not collect continuous GPS tracking, contact lists, microphone data, or advertising identifiers.
If future versions require additional categories of data, we will update this Policy and notify you in advance.
3. How We Use Information
We use data to:
• Provide the Service – operate feeds, maps, and content display.
• Personalize – recommend cities, routes, and inspiration.
• Safety & moderation – detect and prevent prohibited content.
• Improve Klikta (optional) – analyze performance, fix issues, and develop features.
• Communicate – respond to support requests and send service messages.
• Legal & compliance – enforce our Terms and respond to lawful obligations.
4. Legal Bases (EEA / UK)
Where GDPR applies, we rely on the following grounds:
• Contract – to provide the Service under the Terms of Use.
• Consent – where you enable optional analytics or grant permissions.
• Legitimate interests – to maintain safety, improve reliability, and showcase community content.
• Legal obligation – when required by applicable law.
In other regions, we apply similar principles consistent with local privacy laws.

Disable analytics
Settings → Privacy → Help improve Klikta.
App Tracking Transparency (iOS)
Choose Ask App Not to Track to limit cross-app tracking.
CPRA rights
Contact hello@klikta.app to exercise opt-out rights related to sale or sharing.
6. Account & Data Deletion
If you are signed in, you may request deletion of your account and associated personal data directly within the app, via the process described in this Policy, or by contacting hello@klikta.app. For step-by-step details, please see the section “Delete Your Klikta Account.”
We may require information necessary to verify your identity before processing a request.
7. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal data.
We may share information with trusted partners that help us operate the Service:
• Infrastructure & hosting – secure cloud storage and delivery providers.
• Email services – to manage support communications.
• Moderation providers – authorized personnel or contractors bound by confidentiality.
• Analytics providers (optional) – receive limited, non-identifying event data.
• Advertising partners (if consented) – for contextual advertising.
• Klikta channels – accepted photographs may be displayed with attribution under the license granted in the Terms.
• Authorities – when legally required.
8. International Transfers
Data may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate.
Where required, transfers rely on approved safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms.
9. Retention
We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including legal, operational, and safety needs.
If retention practices change, we will update this Policy.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing.
